Many vehicles of the 5 and 7 class have damages at the LCD-display after a few years. In this case you have to replace ti with a new and expensive tachometer instrument. This means additional high costs.

  Dismounting of the 5 and 7 class tachometers is very easy!  

BMW 5 class E39

  1. Remove the baffles on the right and on the left side of the steering
      wheel.

  2. Now remove the screws. (3 pieces)

  3. Above the tachometer is a plastic baffle. To remove it, you first have
      to remove the three screws below.

  4. After you removed the plastic baffle you have to remove two
      other screws above the tachometer.

  5. Pull the tachometer instrument forward and dismantle all connections
      to the tachometer

  6. Send the well packed tachometer ut us. Aim achieved!!!

BMW 7 class E38

  1. Remove the 2 screws above the tachometer instrument.

  2. Pull the tachometer instrument forward and dismantle all connections
      to the tachometer

  3. Send the well packed tachometer ut us. Aim achieved!!!
